Nevada Unit 061/071 Early muzzleloader Elk

Hello all I really hit the Jackpot. I drew this tag after 11 years of applying. so I was wondering if anyone knows any good info they are willing to share. i have hunted alot of elk but none in such a quality area. I will be traveling from Alaska so am trying to really do my homework. If you have any honest advice that could help me please contact me at

I hunted the Jarbridge Wilderness in the Units (72/74) just east of where you drew. You did indeed hit the jackpot, the muzzleloader hunt will be a hunt of a lifetime! I highly recommend you contact the following outfitter that I used and is top notch:

Craig I would like to help you out and see that your successful. Who knows I might need a favor someday if I ever get to hunt Alaska. I helped my buddy two years ago on the same unit and on last day we were able to tag a 300" class 6x6. We had our eyes set on a real nice 340+ 7x6 bull but we just didn't give ourselves enough time for the hunt to get it done. I'll pm you cause if I put it out there, there will be too many people in the same area. Good luck!

Had that tag last year but was unable to hunt. Turned my tag in and got my points back. I did scout one weekend and saw a lot of elk in 71 Coon Creek Summit/DRAINAGE near Jarbidge. Good Luck!
