Both Resident and Non-resident draw results are in the same list. This was my 2nd straight year of good luck in the NV draw with following up my 021/022 antelope tag from last year with a 111-115 early bull rifle tag this year (along with an antlered deer that will need to be returned)!

It was a different hent - had to hike up the mountain to get to where the goats were! Not a huge buck, but a decent one nonetheless.

Funny how the goats live in the hills. I've seen them way up in the trees where we hunt deer in the passed. Nice buck.

There are a number of units in OR where the goats do live in and among the trees, and at least one I know of where they are often found up hi. My NV speed goat was well up the hill. I think they go where the habitat/climate/predation is to their favor.

I guess I would need a tag before I could have tag soup.I can't even have tag soup since I drew ZERO tags this year. Same for my son and same for my brother.

One good thing about California, is There are plenty of general areas that you can hunt deer in while waiting to draw a premium tag.

2nd draw is a good option if you don't have a lot of points. If you just want to hunt.
I can't remember the last time there weren't at least a few leftover Ruby's archery tags. In past years there were more leftover tags than this years total quota. We always counted on that season as our last choice on our apps because it was always a sure thing.
Hopefully the moisture this winter will be a starting point for a turnaround of the drought and the deer population.
