Nevada Moose

About 15-20 years ago I saw a picture in the Elko newspaper of a small bull moose said to be taken near Jarbidge. I figured it was just a young bull wandering from Idaho in search of cows. I never thought the day would come where we have an actual population of moose, however small.
Anyone ever see one in NV?

I saw an article a couple of years ago about a bull spotted in the jawbrige area. It make sense there's a good population of moose Idaho along the Utah, Nevada borders. Anything is possible

I seen one years ago at Charleston Reservoir and more recently one here in route to work. I will see if I can find the pictures.

There have been quite a few sightings near Jarbidge. My buddy got pictures of a cow and calf near Camp Draw. Locals were seeing 2 different bulls and a cow near the city dump. Pretty cool, hopefully they can catch the poachers and establish a hunting season before things get out of control.

I’ve never seen them but I don’t hunt that far north anymore but I’ve heard a lot of stories nd have seen a few photos. I think the wolves are pushing them south.
