From the low desert to the high mountain top we hunted deer for 10 days. We found the 160? buck in the photo sleeping after a day of chasing does. After we put him to bed we decided to try and get him the next morning he was broke up so we passed.
We averaged 6 miles a day on the boots hiking the mountains and back country. My boots took the abuse as they always do but the laces gave up. Lol
We came home without a buck but not because of no opportunities but because the tag holder wanted a 170?+ buck. We just couldn?t find one big enough with the time we had and never being in that country we were learning as we went along.
Great memories were made and redemption will be on our side next time.

I love Nevada, not all desert as lots of people think. My relatives were pioneers in Austin and are buried in the pioneer cemetery there. We try and get over there once a year to clean the cemetery with other relatives. Another relative (my GGGrandfather) fought in the Civil War for California and was stationed at Ft. Ruby in the Ruby Mts.

Great pictures, what an adventure!
