my dad is a resident and he had 14 points and finally drew 23 archery... dont plan on drawing before you have like 10 points on archery hunts... unless you're one of those few people who get lucky and draw with like 2 or 3 points...

I drew a non res. Nevada late season rifle bull tag this last season with 6 points, this not the norm.......I just got lucky when the computer spit me out a low number. That's the beauty of the Nevada draw system, however your NEVER guaranteed a tag based on the number of PP's that you have accumulated...................but you could get lucky at any time with any number of points.

Ely is a great choice for Elk 111-222 late I'm a Res and it took me 10 years and my buddy had 15, we drew the same area the same year! It was pretty cool. My neibor had 23 PP before he drew and ate his tag. It was very warm and the elk were at tree line and he wasn't Abe to do the hike. Real sad after 23 years of trying. I think the norm is 8-10 points.

Drew an archery tag for Jarbidge last year and had a great hunt, can't go wrong with that area, or any in Nevada for that matter. I got real lucky and drew with 4 points.
