Heading to AZ in mid January for archery deer. Planning on starting in 45 and working east towards 39/40 Gila Bend area. It'll be my first time in this part of AZ and I'm hoping someone might be able to provide a little insight. If you're familiar with the areas and are willing to answer some questions, shoot me a PM and we can go from there. Thanks and Happy New Year!!

I don't know those specific units, but with most cases in the desert in AZ... get a mile or so away from main roads and find a high point to glass from. Deer should be pretty active that time of year. Have fun, hunting the desert in January is a blast.

Just thought I'd post the results of my OTC AZ mule deer hunt. It was a challenge hunting a new area without time to scout, but we got it done. I was able to harvest a nice fork and my brother was able to put the hammer down on a decent 4x4. Saw lots of deer and not 1 other hunter so we'll be back next year.
