I think you're doing good at 50 #. I'm at 185 but wanted to be at my hunting weight of 175 this year. It's getting harder and harder to loose the comfort chunk. ... at 50 #, that horse won't know you're there and you'll fly over that sage!

I will be going with Livingston Outfitters. I found out that my sleeping bag does not need to fit in my duffel. I think I will be ok hopefully. I was only 8 pounds overs with day pack and sleeping bag.

You should be fine. .if he throws a fit about that. .it could be a longgg hunt...but also, I would suggest keeping the 2 boxes of ammo as previously said as well...when doing deep backcountry horseback hunts. .Sh** happens sometimes with horses. I've had clients get to camp and shoot at a paper plate at 100 yards. .and be nowhere close. Then Spend 12+ shots getting back to dialed in. ..between airlines and horses, rifle scopes can easily get knocked off..better safe than sorry on ammo

They may have game bags for you, Eli mate the wool stuff and go to merino wool underlayer.
I use a kuiu Yukon coat and pants for my rain gear that doubles as cold weather gear if u have merino underlayer. I can handle 20 degrees sitting with a merino layer, wind shear vest, superdown kuiu coat, and Yukon rain coat. Loose a box of shells unless you can't shoot. Lol. I would add socks and eliminate the camp shoes if u can. Just some ideas. Hope it helps. Everyone has given some great ideas.
