A few weeks ago I posted about packs and had some good discussion. I've started looking at a few other brands including Mystery Ranch. There product line intrigues me because they seem like really well built and a nice compromise between buying a Eberlestock or a Kifaru.

Have any of you used the Metcalf in particular? I like the look and the capacity with it but just curious on how you all like it. Also I've heard their new guide light frame is not as good as their old NICE frame. Any comments on that? I mean is it not as good as in a 8 versus a 10? Or more like a 6 vs a 8-9?

Otherwise please let me know if you have any other comments on the other models they offer.

Oh PS have any of you used the Horn Hunter Full Curl System? Another one that caught my eye that would be lighter on the wallet. One thing I saw that concerned me is the backpack straps looked thin as hell. Maybe was just the video but definitely curious.

Thanks all!

I've used the metcalf. Solid bag and mystery ranch makes really good stuff. I was able to pack for a ten day sheep hunt in my bag.

Thanks for the responses guys. I am going to wait for my local Scheels to get their backpacks in for the season and then decide which I am going to pull the trigger on.
