My wife got me a new pack

My wife bought me the RH5000 Redhead from bass pro. This is an external frame pack with one big duffle style bag compartment. Hunting in Ar. I seldom get more than a 1/2 mile from 4x4 access so I will be using the pack mostly for the camp gear, not packing quartered out animals. The problem is lack of pockets. Are there any recommendations for a small accessory pack that I can add, something with good pockets and attachment points? Needs to be about the right size to just separate hunting from camping gear. Knife, grunt, water, tags, granola bars, flashlight and compass just in case I need to move a little way from the main camp.

The last two years I have gone in on Friday afternoon, mostly in new areas because I like to see new country, and would scout for a good stand. I would then build a blind/camp and wake up the next morning already in place. Opening day of modern gun last year me and a buddy nailed a doe, an 8 and a 10 before 10:00 am with this technique, so now I am hooked. Will be trying on spring turkey this coming weekend.

I say I'm not far from the truck but it did take about 6 hours to get those deer and the camp just 600 yards according to google earth. Shot them on the other side of the mountain, lol.

I would just get some of those roll up duffles in different sizes and colors then you can put stuff in them all organized and color coded to pull out what you need when you need it

I hunted with a guy in Colorado for elk two years ago that strapped his small rucksack type backpack to his packframe. He said that he hunted with what he could afford not what he desired!! Good luck and God bless
