Well Alabama didn't look good. Defensive secondary looked especially awful. Blake Sims can NOT lead us to a National, SEC or even a division championship. I'm sure the rest of the country loved it as everyone hates Alabama.

I'm glad USC is back. It's good for college football when the historic programs are good. I would love to see a Pac 12, BIGXII, BIG10 and SEC playoff. FSU is the only contender from ACC. Maybe Notre Dame will knock them off.

You must not have listened to the explanation given after the penalty. It is always a penalty when 2 blockers take a defender high & low at the same time, it is called a chop block. Don't sound very descriptive of the situation, but that's the call. The replays clearly showed this to be the case.

Chop blocks are legal within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage. But only if the defender is not engaged high by another player. It helps protect the big-uglies knees. I think it's a good rule.

Oregon looked Nasty yesterday. I thought they would win because Sparty lost so many defensive guys from last year's team, but I never thought they would score in the 40s. Oregon looked physical on defense. They are going to be tough to beat this year.
