Nice bear Joe! I have made three trips to the Snake and have only spotted one small cinnamon. Can you tell me here you are getting your bear processed. If I fill my tag I am going to have hams made and I remember your post from last year and was hoping you would share since I am in your neighborhood? Thanks and congratulation.

Thanks, The ham I had done at Willamina Meat. It was pretty good but by the end of it I had lost some of the enthusiasm for it I had when I first posted about it.

This bear I am cutting into roasts and canning the rest. The canned bear is one of our favorite things to use....quick and simple to make carnitas or enchiladas. Most of the roasts I use in the crock pot to make a bear stroganoff that Tiffany Haugen has in her book. Excellent!!

Tonight I am making my wife Broccoli You Can Bear out of some. That is another Tiffany Haugen recipe that is my all time favorite wild game meal. Marinate bear chunks in coffee and then cook it in peanut oil and chinese five spice etc.....served over soba noodles with fresh steamed broccoli in top.

Awesome. Great bear. Filming a hunt is not easy. Makes me wonder how the guys from solohunter do it. Ive been able to catch minimal footage of kills but never very vivid shots. Well done.
