My new 300 win ready for the range

Just need to torque down the rings to spec then it's time for the range. I will pick up a few differant bullet grains and mfg's and find out what bullet the gun likes best. SMR Paladin built by Snowy Mountain Rifles. Can't wait to shoot it.

Fine craftsmanship! I sure it will shoot as good as it looks. Are the Vortex scope rings heavy steel like Warner rings or lighter like Talley rings?

They are aluminum. Very lite.

Took the 300 out this morning. Got a box of rounds thru it. I really like the new scope and the trigger on this gun. Had some issues getting used to the moa clicks on the scope. My issue not the scope or the gun. The 4 shot group was at 100 yards with cheap ammo that I found. Next trip will be some good ammo and drop chart will be made. I think it's gonna be a tack driver with some ammo that the gun likes.

i love custom builds and that looks sweet, i couldn't tell but what action you running and barrel and contour.That razor will be a sweet scope for that rig. you will be smacking plates at 1k no problem with that. Very nice. By chance have you put your whole rig on a scale i was just curious what the weight of it is.

Snowy Mountain builds their own actions but it's very similar to Remington. Barrel is a Match Grade. Ya it's freakin heavy I'm guessing 13lbs. I'll weight it but hope it will feel lighter packing it if I think it weights lighter then it does. Lol. I'll let you know the weight.
