he was a nice bear with only 3 legs I didn't notice it till after I shot him.

Very nice bear! Congrats. My son killed one a few years ago with a frozen front elbow joint. I killed one 4 years ago that had broken his lower jaw on both sides. One side had grown bone back but the other was just tissue holding it. Tough critters.....
