What would you put on a CVA Elkhorn Magnum, shooting 150gr of T7 pellets with a 300gr Nosler BT?

I have a Leupold VX Freedom 3-9x40 on my CVA Accura and used it a couple of years ago in Utah where variable power scopes are legal. And I'll be using again come Wednesday when their muzzle loader season for deer starts again.

The sad thing is that when I hunt in Colorado I have to fall back on a iron or open sight for the muzzle loader hunts here.

same here in idaho. no scopes . no powder pellets and no sabots and must have exposed nipple which I like but my wife hates on those cold blustery days. ;)

I have this one setup for the short-range weapons hunts we can do in the state and have a good percussion cap for the muzzleloader only. That exposed nipple sure can get frosty. 😁

I've got a CVA Optima w 2-7 Viper but swapping that out to a VX-2 or maybe just a Banner 4x. No ML permit this year so no hurry.
