What are some must eat restaurants in Casper? What about some things to do or see, if I get my antelope early? We'll be here until Thursday morning at least.

Casper is an awesome town.

Yes...Eggingtons for breakfast, biscuits and gravy was very good. Fresh squeezed OJ too. Th place is VERY popular for breakfast.

Fire Rock Steakhouse. We really liked the wedge salad, beet salad, and ribeye steaks with scallops.

Racca's Pizzeria is fantastic with a very nice dining environment. All of these were excellent: Monticello mojito, Pontina Salad, Caprese, and the Liguria Pizza. (yes, I keep notes on my phone).

Fishing on the Platte River.

Studio City Mesa Theater is an outstanding movie theater with recliner type seating.

I haven't been there but heard the deep fried lobster at Silver Fox Steakhouse is very good.

I loved the Homewrecker Burrito at Mo's at the Hat Six truck stop. Went back for it twice. Steak, cilantro rice, black beans, saut?ed onions, saut?ed green peppers, mushrooms, white queso sauce, sour cream, olives, corn, pico de gals, cilantro.

If you need an RV park in Casper, the River's Edge is newer and very nicely kept.

If you need a meat processor, Pat's Meats did a good job for us.

Sherris place only does breakfast & lunch. She recently turned down an offer to be on Guy Fieri's show. Plus one on the chicken fried steak. Pizza Ranch has the best fried chicken in town and it's all you can eat...

Another vote for Eggingtons here. Also Wonderbar if you like beer, Firehouse Pizza if you like wood fired pizza, and Mad Flatters if you like hippie burritos (for lack of a better term). I don't think Casper has much to offer a "tourist" except hunting and fishing. If I were traveling there for an multi-day hunt, I'd try bagging some grouse and fishing the Platte River, upstream instead of down.

If you want scenery come down to Laramie and drive the Snowy Range Pass over to Saratoga for a hot spring soak.
Casper has everything else, we have the scenery in Laramie.

Stop by Ray's Taxidermy Studio (Address: 5131 W. Yellowstone Hwy, 82604). It's a rough looking place from the outside, but the inside is full (and I mean full) of hunting nostalgia.

If you get up to Buffalo, stop in to the Old Occidental Saloon. This place has some great history, been there since 1880 or basically since the town was developed. Some great trophies on the wall, good food and live music a few nights a week. Cool old pictures of cowboys with there foot on the rail of the same bar youre sitting at
