let's hear some tales of successful predator calls .

the most coyotes I have ever had come in to one call was seven.

I have been able to score on many doubles but only once pulled off a triple.
weapon was my trusty ruger m77 .223

there were 5 in that group and they came in fast from my right. we hadn't been calling more then 2-3 minutes when they exploded out of a draw . no sneaking in this time round , they were hauling as right at me. I waited till the 1st was only about 40 yards out and let him have it full on in the chest .I cranked the bolt and swung to the next which was a broad side at around 80 yards or so , crack pop down he tumbled. I cranked another in and swung on the next which was a 200 yard shot running full speed but straight away , slightly downhill. boom.......... I'll be danged if he didn't do the coyote flip! I got him right in the back of the head!

I was with my brother who was on my left about 20 yards away ,. he never got a clear shot . that was some 20 years ago and my back still hurts from where he slapped it while congratulating me and screaming,
" dude ! yer a killing machine! "lol

I doubt it all lasted more the a few seconds total but that hunt is among my most remembered

I mostly hunted coyotes with Walker Dogs in my younger years. Although I have killed a lot by calling them either while deer hunting or turkey hunting.

Back in my early 20's I killed these two dirty birds while turkey hunting one year.

Seen them trailing a herd of does that had come by and I lip squeaked at them and they came a running.....Boomed the first one at about 15 yards...killed it stone dead.... then the other one (That was about 50 yards behind this one) came running right to me because it was unsure where the shot came from....While he was running towards me I rolled up to one knee and I woofed as loud as I could and he came slamming to a stop at 5 yards...So I shot him right in the face with a 3.5" HV #5 Winchester Supreme's.....knocked his top two canine teethe right off....and it didn't kill it.....and he came running by me at about 3 yards and I shot him again in the ribs....and he still ran 50 yards or so.

Honestly, they are super tough....not sure how he survived the first shot.

My buddies dad came driving up on his tractor to see what I had shot and he got his picture with both of them holding his single-shot 10 gauge and told everyone in the area that he killed them both with 1 shot. Which I thought was pretty funny. He became one of those "local legends" overnight....lol He begged me for the picture so I played along. We still laugh about the "10 gauge double". lol

I never turn down a chance to kill a coyote. I should have shot that coyote I seen in Montana but my old man talked me out of it. I regret that decision. I would have loved to have shot him. He was pretty.

Best I ever did was 4 off one stand. Called in a pair and killed them with the AR. A second pair soon came in to the Foxbang coyote distress from when I shot the first pair and I got them both knocked down too. Shot 2 standing, 2 running.
