Hello all! As my name entails I am from Indiana but am actively researching the possibility of rifle hunting the gray deer of the west for a family diy hunting trip next fall(2014), right now I'm thinking about Montana as I have no preference points and am not really looking for a giant deer, just a fun hunt. I'm thinking about trying to get permission on some Block Management land in the Miles City area. If we (my wife) and I are successful in drawing tags it will be our first trip out west together and would like to at least see some game. I was just wondering if any of you have had success in the miles city area,and would like to know how much pressure it receives? Also what type of weather does SE Montana typically have during the rifle season? Thanks before hand on any responses, I'm pretty new to the forum and have appreciated all of the help I have seen some of you give to other guys hoping to fill a tag and hope to have the same luck

Got skunked last year in Miles City but my boys shot 2 wallhangers south of Miles City in the Volborg area. God Bless
