Mule deer patterns

Can you pattern mule deer? Preferably late season when they are on food sources and when they return to bedding area. Mostly open areas like sand hills in Nebraska?

Early in September they have consistent movements. Also after rut and into winter recovery mode they are easy to pattern. In between those times I don't have much success predicting where except they will be close to does.
