Narrowing down some late round choices for cheap doe tags.
As I continue to attempt to figure out some of the irrigated land tags, I'm also looking at unit 5.
Does anyone have any tips on unit 5? I plan to be in WY in early to mid November. I do see some public and BLM, but wondering how access is in this unit? Also, there is a lot of private so I'll have a gps chip to navigate. Do the deer migrate out of this area further south in the state? Most of my hunting has been in southern or western WY and much earlier in the year, so this is a new experience for me.
However, I want to see if I'm on the right track with this unit as being worth a look, even for a mulie doe tag.
Thanks guys!

Not sure if you already have another hunt planned and you are juts adding a doe hunt but that's about the same time as the Nebraska rifle season so for the price of a few doe tags you could be hunting bucks in the rut instead.

Yeah, I'm already going to be in the area.
However, you've given me something to think about for the future!

For doe deer (muley or whitetail) up against the eastern side of the state, on a simple type 6 without a lot rules, areas 5, 12, 15 look to be it this year in the regs.

15 has quite a bit of WIA; wonder if anyone has hunted the acessible public on the type 6?
