Mule Deer Archery Hunt

I have obtained permission to hunt MD on private land in unit 47 & in unit 51. This would be my first MD archery hunt if a draw a tag. On Google Earth I see there are some Creek bottoms on the properties with trees along the creeks. Also there are Hay fields on both sides of the creeks. My plan would be to set up blinds or a tree stand. Any thoughts on my plan and any suggestions for a first time Mule Deer hunter? I have 8 preference points. I have priced Outfitted hunts but the only way I could swing an outfitted hunt is if I win the lottery!

Ive never hunted them in a field but your plan sounds good. Ambush them on their way between bed/ food.

Sounds like you're talking about a region R general tag? If so that's alot of points to burn, takes 1 point for there. Unless there is something else? Maybe someone else will help out, but I don't think there is a limited quota area there..... But private land should help also..
