Roundball, you can look up how many points it took to draw that tag last year on the website http://cpw.state.co.us/bg-stats

I wouldn't be going 3rd. Unless it's a vacation time driven thing I'd look at 4th, early /1st or 3rd in that order IMO. You limited to rifle for method of take?

Slugz: Me and my buddy have 8 points,will have 9 this year , am looking at 22, 5,6, or should we wait till next year? rifle right now, I'm not limited he is, we live in ohio s0 scouting is tough. I'm in pretty good shape for 57,my buddy a little less. Was looking at moderate terrain. I thought 5 days might be a little on short side this year. Thanks, roundball

You will have 8 points going into the draw. If you don't get your first choice, you will then have 9 points after the draw.
There are a lot of good units to apply for with those points. Like mentioned above, look at the Colorado parks and wildlife page and see what units you can draw. Once narrowing your search down, ask about a specific unit and season, you should get a better response

I meant limited to only going in rifle season not ability or shape
Reason I say that...IMO....when you start getting over 8 pts some real barn burner good hunts open up. 4th with some snow and the rut......muzzleloader ( longer tag) and archery ( month long tag)
I can only help with 22.....I got nothing on 5 or 6........shoot me a PM and we can talk about 22 if you want
