Mule deer 117

Ok.. As luck would have it, I applied for an elk area that I didn't get and decided to put in for the mule deer tag in the area. Seems like i got the mule deer tag but didn't get the elk.

I am probably going to go in and mule deer hunt the week before 9/15 and then go elk hunt in a general area.

Any suggestions for this Area?

Congrats on the tag. I spent a weekend on the Wood River camping last fall and saw some real nice bucks, they were down in the hay fields. I have heard there are some big bucks back in the wilderness area's. I have never hunted it though. Buy a wolf tag and watch out for grizzlies.
