Montana Bucks...

So I am more than likely going to be hunting in Montana for deer this year, I want to see pics from Montana deer hunts past!

My son and I hunted Whitetails in SE Montana in 2013. He killed this one.

Biggest bucks we seen in 8 full days of hunting. And no, I’m not kidding.

Last time I hunted mule deer in Montana was maybe 3-4 years ago. My Dad, Brother, and Nephew drew a special deer area, I had to hunt across the street in a general area.

Worked out fairly well, think we spent 5 or 6 days saw maybe 30 bucks a day.

I should have went back for whitetail but since they were all done deer hunting...figured I would get it over with. Ever since moving to WY in 2000 I think I've only killed 2 mule deer bucks there, the rest all whitetail. Didn't shoot many mule deer bucks from 1979-2000 either.

Looking through photos, I guess I've shot 3 mule deer in Montana since moving to Wyoming...these 2 as well:

My wife was pretty tough on mule deer in the mid-late 90's in Montana. We had an awesome place to hunt, seeing a couple hundred deer a day was no big deal. Bucks were all just sort of average stuff like this:
