Our late summer monsoons have started. Every afternoon for the last 4 days we have had thunderstorms, lightning and rain. Yesterdays was spectacular, tons on lightning and thunder with huge rain cells. Got almost 1/4 inch in a few minutes time. Archery hunters, come prepared!

Went to Denver yesterday to pickup my son. Went via Salida, Fairplay & Bailey. Got rain almost all the way. 3/4 of an inch at home yesterday afternoon.

We had one heck of a light show last night with very heavy thunder. Not much moisture but boy did it keep me up for a while.

We're starting to get a 10 minute shower each day along with flash flood warnings which will close down I-70 through Glenwood Canyon if they turn into a flash flood watch.

Well, this just popped up.

We got almost 3/4" this afternoon according to my weather station. Turned off my irrigation pump tonight. I water at night, so I sure don't need any more this evening!
