Modern Pioneer Magazine?

Anybody get the Modern Pioneer Magazine? I happened to see it while I was at City Market this morning. Looked kind of interesting. Broad range of topics in the current issue of turkey hunting, cooking recipes, canning information, and chain saw use tips. Seemed like something I might be interested in. Half hunting, fishing, trapping and half live off the land type stuff. Figured I'd see if anyone has had a chance to check it out and what they thought about it? I was gonna pick one up until I saw it was $8.99 an issue! Looks like I can get a year subscription (6 issues) online for $24.95.

ive seen these and they are pretty cool. i always thought it would be cool if eastmans would add a small section, even a page in each magazine regaurding old traditional pioneer things.

Yeah, I like some of the pioneer type stuff. Some of it's pretty neat and you learn a lot. Another magazine I've seen that looks interesting is the Backwoodsman. It seems very traditional only though. That's what looked interesting about the Pioneer magazine it seemed to intermingle some traditional and modern stuff all wrapped up in a pioneer, frontiersman, mountain man flavor! I might just try it out... Like I really need another magazine to read!

wranglerstar youtube channel has some good stuff once in a while. alot of it is about modern homesteading.
