Well, this is not hunting really, just harvesting. I have a doe/spike tag this year, live in Eugene Oregon. Blacktails. We had 4 spikes all summer, "funky horn" being the biggest. My nine year old exclaims yesterday--- Dad its funky horn get the rifle. Shot him off the deck. but it is great meat, and now I can go out to find a bigger buck. Love my daughters inquisitive mind as we gutted, and later boned it out. My son trimmed and sealed as I butchered. From shot to freezer was about 3 hours. All good. Anyway, few photos below.
