I was wondering if anybody knows how to tune the cam on a Mathews switchback XT? Or...do you know of any good websites with good archery help? I can't get it to paper tune very accurately, and I believe the cam is out of tune. Im over 2 hrs. from the nearest bow shop, so I really don't want to have to drive to one just for this. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

A good source for info is archerytalk.com There is some really good stuff on there. Just put a filter on your computer cause there are some members that like to stir the pot.

Google it and you should find some good info, another thing you can do is go to Mathews website and download a owners manual. When I owned my Switchback, I got the users manual out and it tells you how to tune your cam and all of the specs to check. First check axle to axle, then your brace height. Then you can line up your cam. My Switchback also likes a little lean in the top idler, then when at full draw it would straighten out, don't ask me why but it liked the lean. You are going to need a bow press so you can put twits into your yoke, string and or buss cable to get things where they need to be. At the least you can purchase a portable bow master bow press for about $40.00. Another thing you might want to check and maybe you already have is if you are using the correct spined arrow.Good luck, I hope everything works out for you.

Thanks Ruttin, I'm on my way to a better tuned bow. Got new arrows ordered, I knew that was part of the problem, but I won't know how much of it they will cure until they come in. I did get some specs off mathews site but never saw where it talked about tuning the cam. I may be able to find my original manual, and I'll keep searching online. Thanks for the info.
