Check out MY Topo. They have maps of most WY antelope areas with the boundary of the area drawn to the map. Greats maps.

You can make custom maps on Mytopo for an area. The detail is better once you have narrowed down where you want to hunt. I have a small fortune in their custom maps and am ordering at least 3 more for hunts this fall.

I just had several custom maps made for friends and family to support their Idaho hunts.

Had a few made for myself as well. See attachment of a portion of a Idaho map. The annotation IDRCP is simply a waypoint of my property?s location and was done via my MacBook and not via www.mytopo.com.

The guys at www.huntdata.com are great as well. Owners Dave and Zack hand delivered several maps I ordered from them, since they only live about ten miles from me.

Honestly, in addition to all the handheld technology; I really like having an old fashioned, up to date paper map of the unit I'm hunting in hand. I like the my topo and diy ones-I think they're called that you can buy online and at some really hunter friendly gas stations in WY. This one gas station in Laramie, I think where 230 comes of I-80, had like every one of those maps and darn near anything you'd need! Plus, there was a cute little brunette at the counter, that knew her elk units-even if she had a few too many piercings to take to dinner with mom. [emoji38]

West Laramie Fly Store I bet. We use the BLM maps too. There is a USGS office on UW campus too with geo survey maps, topos and BLM maps.

Its one of those Saturday's where I've got too much to do around the acreage, and too little time to start any of it; with all the places the family deems I need to be this long weekend, so let's bump this thread up. [emoji38]

What does everyone think of this map server?:

http://gis.statelands.wyo.gov/GIS/OSLIGIS/StateLandAccess/

It seems to attempt to discern what state lands are legally accessible via public roads or other public parcels. Full disclaimers for anyone using it-just thought it interesting this was one of the few that I've seen to include legal access info.

Any one use this and find it accurate?

Regards,

I like gis.wyo.gov
It also looks like WY fish and game added a layer to their online maps for public roads. Although it appears that the some of the roads are not 100% accurate - which is probably why they include the disclaimer.

The road layer matches up with what I've pulled off the county gis sites. Guessing that's where they got them. OnX is missing the boat not adding that layer.

I called the Douglas forest service and ordered maps over the phone. They also sell the BLM maps for $4 each. The lady I spoke with was very nice and even threw in the Forest service Motor Vehicle use map for free. I got 4 BLM maps, Forest service motor vehicle use map, Thunder basin map and some free stuff... all for $26.
