What do y'all use to store and/or sort your trail cam pics. I know I delete most of mine but the ones I keep take up a ton of space on my computer and it's hard to find bucks from last year without looking through them one by one.

Help!

Once my files get so big with pictures I'll download them to a CD and label it with the year and what it is.

As for exceptional deer and elk that I might want to look at more than a couple of times or other pictures that will get looked at quite often I'll copy them to a second file just so that I can find them quicker.

I usually end up with files with names like buck deer 2017, bull elk 2017, and so fourth. These are the ones that I look at more than a couple of times. Then if they are really nice I'll get notebook size print copies of them that I will file into a photo album.

I'm a file Nazi....lol

I only keep pictures worth keeping and everything is named as follows:

SPECIESYEARMONTHDAY

Always name your files like this and it will be VERY easy to sort by name and see your pictures in chronological order.

I do this mainly because a lot of times the date stamp on the trail camera is wrong and I like to keep things organized.

All you have to do is go to the folder and set up the files to view details then go over and sort by name.

I make separate files for all species and sub folders for different properties so on and so on.

I hope this helps you.
