Has anyone had any luck with this style of paint? Looking for some info on how it wears. Thinking of trying it on a synthetic stock with a couple of coats of clear

there is a paint store called "Forest Paint" in Eugene OR on McKinley Ave that sells an epoxy paint with grit in it called "Firm Foot" I paint stocks with it all the time, works extremely well - the stone paint will turn mushy on you in continuous wet environment, at least on a gunstock

The stone paint is soft and easily damaged. However, I've had very good luck putting on several coats of poly. It protects the stone paint very well.

The two together makes a great stock finish. Just the right amount of texture for me and it looks great.
