The only problem with terrain that is less "forgiving" is that it is the same for everybody else. Typically you can expect more hunters in that area. You still have until April 3 to make up your mind. Applications can be done online.

You mentioned September. That would be archery, or muzzleloader. The problem is the elk are high that time of the year, and i'm not sure I can describe it as easy hunting. What's your choice of weapon?

Definitely plenty of elk in Colorado. Also plenty of hunters. It can be done for sure. I would suggest doing your homework and even calling the Division of Wildlife to see what they think. You might also consider Idaho.

yea thanks for your thoughts i am hoping to be in good enough shape by september so i can get far away from everybody else .i had a chest injury that resulted in a artery collecting scar tissue and caused me to have a heart attack that almost ended my hunting career at a young 32 years old i am exersizeing daily but it is hard to know where i will be by hunting season . I really appreciate everything i can get not looking for anybodys hot spot just an area to focus on . I have been an eastmans subscriber for twelve years and have all the mrs from every issue but was looking for info from people that have been there to further my research thanks kris
