I'm hoping someone can provide some specific feedback on the Kuiu pants. There are essentially 3 pairs I'm exploring: Chinook (215 g/m2), Attach (225 g/m2), and Guide (274 g/m2). My biggest question/concern is how heavy each of these are. In essence, will you sweat to death in 40/50 degree temps in the Guide pants, or will you freeze in 20/30 degree temps in the Chinook pants?
Does anyone have specific experience with these pants? I'm curious what temperatures/altitude you hunted, how much physical walking/climbing you were doing, were you wearing base layers, if so how thick?
I've only hunted 2nd season rifle in CO. That's mid Oct and temps can fluctuate drastically. I'd like something versatile that can be work by itself when it's in the 50's, but also work with a wool layer when it's in the 20's. Any recommendations or personal experiences would be greatly welcomed.
