Good luck. I agree that he may get bigger next year IF he makes it. He may not or he may go nocturnal as he gets older. In my area 4.5yr old bucks are much more likely to move in the daylight than a 5.5yr old or older deer. They don't get old by being stupid. I would darn sure hunt him hard and have no hesitation of shooting if the opportunity arises. I hope you get him.

Actually, I just finished a book from B&C that says bucks often go back to showing up in daytime hours when they get to 7 1/2 or more, not just evening but middle of the afternoon.

I missed one at 10 yards that looked like that. Still replay it in my mind every year. Damn elbow hit the tree behind me as I was drawing back. The rest was history. Farmer found the sheds that winter and he scored 185, but he was never seen again.

Wait for the rut and sit in the nearest bedding area to the property line. He'll come though sooner or later. Or find the Does and he will show up.
