I like to think one of the lions had a face off with the guy holding the axe and said out loud "Seriously? An axe?"

I'm sure it wasn't very instant while in the jaws of a lion. Pretty sure they had time to crap their drawers.

I know a PH from Africa. He has been in some very serious situations with Lions. He said Lions go for a humans head and its one bite and they crush your skull and kill you instantly. One of his best friends (Another PH for an adjacent property) was killed by a lion. Said he was there when it happened and it killed him in a half a second. It was a female lion that killed him. He told me the story. It was a chilling story to hear.

These poachers were at the wrong place, at the wrong time and doing the wrong thing. They brought there untimely and painful demise upon themselves.
