Good deal, they should work well as long as you don't do much bushwackingArwaterfowler:
It was on sale and I picked up the jacket. Seems like it will work very well. I'll find out in about 5 weeks!

Ditto to this for me. I really like the outfitter camo pattern. These breath well tooI've used the Cabela's MT050 gore-tex rain gear for the past 6-7 years. I have worn it in some downpours and it has performed well at keeping me dry. It is fairly quiet also. It is probably not as light weight as some other brands, but it keeps me dry.
I got a set and for the price I don't think I can go wrong. I'll find out soon. The Cabelas Space Rain stuff was in sale last weekend. Not sure if it still is. I picked up a set to replace the one I've have for 5 years. It's good stuff but 5 years is hard on it.
I was told 2 years ago that the Russell APX gear was being discontinued. And sure enough it dropped off their website a few months later. I picked up a lot of their garments in Max-1 last Christmas when Sportsmans Warehouse had it on sale. They still have some stuff available at the Rocklin store. It's too bad they are gone. I really like that gear.I have heard that Russell is getting out of the outdoor clothing lines, but there still seems to be a fair amount of it around at various independent retailers. If you google it and pick through the results, you'll probably find what you're looking for.
what pieces, size, and pattern are you looking for?I miss APX G2 gear. I tried on my L3 pants the other night(to see if they still fit, sadly....but they did) and had forgotten how comfortable they were, and they were half the price of my KUIU attacks. Just as flexible. I still stay on the lookout for that gear.
Go ahead and start a thread on this topic. I have my thoughts on this. It I want to hear others experiences.Since we are talking rain gear, I have some stuff I got a few years ago, but haven't really used it. It is the quiet material and lightweight. I did the shower test, jumped in and once it got wet it started seeping through. Not to familiar with raingear so will the good stuff hold water out as long as you will stand in the shower or will they start leaking also? Does the pressure of the shower change anything? Sorry to but in on your thread, just thought since we were talking raingear. Thanks!
