Leupold VX-freedom

I need to replace the scope on my 12 gauge slug gun. The swift I had took a crap. This is the 3rd one. Time for a switch.

I have been looking at the Leupold VX-freedom in a 3-9x40. Has anyone used one of these yet?

yes. ive bought 4 of them for customers. good glass and tracks well actually. similar to the vx2 in my mind.

Should fall somewhere between VX-1 and VX-2. Based on price. I have a VX-2 andit is a good scope, holds zero but IMO Leupold scopes begin at VX-3.

I saw VX-3i's for $329 recently - that would be my choice.

For a slug gun I'd go with a VX Freedom in a 1x4 or thereabouts. Better eye relief on a hard kicking shotgun.

I looked through one a few weeks ago.

To be honest, it had a cheap feel...but that is to be expected for the price point.

I would say it was similar to the rifleman thats on my 30-06 pump and it hasn't let me down and it gets banged around the buggy constantly driving to the lease.

Yes. They have the VX-Freedom, the VX-3i, the VX-5, and the VX-6.
