I have a Leupold VX-III 4.5-14x40 scope that I've been using for a few years. This year, when I go from looking at something at about 100yds to further, say 400 yards, both the scene and reticle appear a little fuzzy (unclear). I can adjust it by loosening the lock-ring and turning the rear eyepiece a quarter or half turn, but I didn't think that was supposed to be necessary. Maybe it's just that my eyes are getting old(er) ... ok, they are.
Is an adjustment like that normally required?
Will it affect the scopes' "zero"?

I am assuming the scope does not have the parallax adjustment on the side or on the front objective lens?? All my older scopes with the adjustment knob do not do this.....may consider calling Leupold and seeing what they say or sending it in for repair.
