Just got back from my late season cow elk hunt. I was able to take a cow with the help of my son and my brother. Without their help it would not have been possible to pack out the cow. We found a good herd about two miles inside the Parsnip peak wilderness area. It was like a jungle walking in through the mahogany trees, pinions and junipers. I managed to get in a good shot from about 360 yards. Packing the elk out was even more fun. We talked to a few others hunting for cows but they driving the roads in their trucks or ATV's and none had seen anything.
