What are your thoughts on the late season hunts in 56 and 58. I know they aren't what they once were, but are they good enough to justify the tough draw odds. I have max points and don't mind waiting because I hunt elk at home every year and I am waiting for a premium Wyoming elk hunt.

I don't have any info on those particular units but I've hunted migration hunts plenty of times and in my opinion they can be great but only if you are a local or someone who can leave home at the drop of a hat when the weather hits. Sometimes you only have a 1 or 2 day window before the elk move on through. Sometimes they move through your area at night and you never get a crack at them. Sometimes they come early and sometimes they don't come until after the season is over. It can be truly a hit or miss deal. If I were a nonres with max points I'd be more inclined to hunt a resident elk herd.
