Greetings!!!!

I'm a lifelong Oregon resident. I have a 14 year old daughter that just started high school(HELP!). Mule deer hunting is my passion. I also love to hunt elk, antelope, predators, and try to get after the salmon runs as much as possible. I am fortunate enough to have spent darn never every second I've hunted with my father and my uncles. We've enjoyed much success and created 1000 lifetimes of great memories and stories. I'm absolutely addicted to Eastmans forum. I spend way too much time on here but I love the info, stories, and camaraderie. This year our hunting group put in for New Mexico tags for mule deer and we were successful in the draw so we'll be headed out on a road trip in late October. I'm so excited to go I can't stand it!!!!!!! October and November are going to be busy this year. Perfect. So let me finish by saying thank you to Eastmans for the great site, and all the members/posters for the amazing amount of information put on here. Its invaluable. Good luck to all of you in your hunting adventures this season! Shoot straight.

21 days until I leave for my Oregon mule deer hunt. 45 days until we leave for NM. I have a real love/hate relationship with this time of year. I've already gone through my hunting stuff, twice, and have atleast a half a dozen hunting "lists" scattered about the house. My girlfriend thinks I'm completely nuts. I believe she's probably right.

Thanks Jim!
I'll trade you this hot valley for your coastal breeze for a few weeks?!? Where are you hunting in Wyoming? My dad and his buddies hunted there for several years and had pretty darn good luck. The last year they went, which was 2011 or 12, I think, they saw more wolves than elk. They were pretty bummed because they had harvested some really nice bulls over the years. I hope you hammer a big ol boy and have a safe trip. Take lots of pictures!!!
