I really don't know what to say except that my heart goes out to those who died, those who were injured, the families of the lost, and those who will forever remember the terror of last night. I can't wrap my mind around evil of this magnitude. The images, videos, and interviews of eye witnesses are heart wrenching.

There is also a message of hope for humanity. People used their own bodies to shield others, ushered others to safety, and used their vehicles to rush the injured to hospitals. The police and first responders rushed headlong into danger as heroes. Nurses and Doctors saved many lives and people poured out in droves to give blood. My hat is off to all of you.

We need to pray for those affected by this tragedy and also for our Nation. May God bless and comfort Las Vegas, Nevada.

A judge sentenced Benjamin Hoskins Paddock to 20 years in prison on Jan. 5, 1961. Nearly eight years later, on Dec. 31, 1968, the convicted bank robber escaped the Federal Correctional Institution in La Tuna, Texas, according to a Tucson Daily Citizen archive.

After his escape, the FBI named Benjamin Hoskins Paddock one of their "10 most wanted criminals," and warned that he was a "diagnosed psychopath" with suicidal tenancies. The warrant said Benjamin Hoskins Paddock carried a firearm and was considered "armed and dangerous."

My wife and I are so lucky. We were at the concert and decided to leave just before it happened. We were safety secure in our hotel room across the street at the time of the shooting. We didn't know anything was going on till the hotel alert came over the intercom to tell everyone to stay in there room. We had friends that made it out without injury, what and absolute nightmare. So sorry for the loss of so many innocent lives. I'm so happy we left early but at the same time feel guilty for not being out there to help. Back at home now, it's going to be difficult to get back to normal today.

Think I heard gun man was worth $3.4 Million...

Hopefully the victims could see that money go to them.

A chill went up my spine when the news reported he had rented a condo the week before overlooking the "Life is Beautiful" music festival. My daughter and her friends were there.

what chills me is knowing there are many, many more of him among us and if not by gun it will be by truck ,bomb or even a knife or bat.

we live in a society that applauds criminal activity and then pretend to be astonished when these things happen.

I am astonished it does not occur more often.

Spot on. We live in a Godless society. Some of these liberal politicians and our liberal society has taken each act of depravity as a challenge to see if it can be topped. Sin used to hide behind the back of the house. Now it parades down the center of Main street. You can not remove morality from our society and expect people to behave with morality.
