KUIU recommendations

Hey guys and gals. I am interested in the KUIU brand as it seems top notch gear that is worth the money and looking to shed some weight in the process. I will be upgrading/selling my under armour gear I have now. Does anybody have recommendations as far as which set to go with? I am open to any of their lines. I will be moving to Colorado within the next year so which color pattern would be best in your opinion?

Best advice I could give is get the 2016 Offering booklet. It has some very informative charts that break out the gear according to seasons and use. I hunt in the Attack pants and love em. Mostly September hunting but I have 4th/late season hunted in them with some merino wool bottoms underneath

I only use the attack pants and have used them until middle of December in WY last year. Temps minus 10 and 50 mph winds. With a baselayer I was good to go.

I have heard good things about the attack pant. Which color/pattern would you recommend for mainly hunting in Colorado?

I have two pairs of the attack pants by far the best! Next on your list should be the DCS Guide jacket! I have just a bout everything KUIU only because of a BC moose hunt last year. I have the vias, not the green digital. It's nice I just preferred the other!

Last question guys. I read a thread somewhere that people had trouble with the sizing? Has anyone had a problem with the sizing through KUIU? I am about 6'2" and about 215lbs with more of an athletic build. Is anybody near those measurements that has this brand?

It is definitely athletic build to most items. Ordering a size up from your normal sizing won't hurt. I'd say you could get away with XL sizing, but XXL wouldn't be as big of a jump as you would think.

I see they don't have tall sizes (at least on the things I looked at). Are they generally long enough for taller people? (6'3")

I am 6'3 215..like to think pretty athletic and the Xl fit is a perfect athletic fit for me in everything. The pant length is perfect too. I will say that if you have large muscular thighs those attack pants can be pretty snug, however the material is a bit stretchy and will be snug. I wear a 34 waist or a tad smaller in most pants and I have some room there, but the thighs are snug.

Try and wait for a sale before you buy. I don't know if they have many summer sales but I picked up some really good stuff last year on a Thanksgiving sale for about 35% off.

Pants run pretty true to size, well my attacks do, I have heard some say a little small. Jackets definitely run small, I am 6'2" 235 and normally wear an XL but I have one jacket in XXL and one in XXXL. The 3X is the Snap Shirt, love the thing but the XL didn't even button.

I would start with some Attack pants, a Guide or Kenai jacket, some merino, and maybe some Guide gloves and go from there.

They have sizing charts so spend the time to measure yourself and follow the guide. The worst thing about Kuiu is paying for shipping when you return an item and then paying again when you re-order.

Look at their sizing chart for the jacket and measure yourself. Without knowing how you stack up on the chart I would say order a XXL if you would normally wear an XL.

I have the DCS guide jacket and the Kenai pant. I'd definitely recommend sizing up if you plan to layer with these pieces at least.

My guide jacket is a 3x, I normally wear 38 waist and I wear a 40 in the attack. There merino zip off bottoms are simply the best. You can either layer up or layer down just by dropping your pants with your boots on and zip them on or off.
