Kuiu Guide Pants

Still a lot of stuff out there. Sure the Attacks are gone, but lots of the other pants and lots of Merino still. I picked up quite a bit, and actually got non camo stuff so I can wear it in the civilian world if I chose.

Lots of Tiburon shorts for sale in camo still.... If they were $30 per pair I'd get a few....lol.

I ordered the guide pants, a down jacket and gloves. Got the guide jacket last year during their sale and I just love it. So I'm excited to get the pants in the mail soon.

I've had the guide pants for a few years now and love them in the colder temps. I've took them on two AK late season Dall Sheep hunts and there great. I always have thermals underneath if it's super cold and never get the chills.

So I have been trying the guide pants out for a few days now, and they are not very warm. I am wearing under armour under them, but not sure which ones. What do some of you wear under them? Do I get thicker thermals or put something else under them?? Thanks for any input!

I have used the Attack pants with the 210 Kuiu thermals without any issues and I'm cold blooded.

Do you know if they are thicker than the under armour? I know they now make stuff for colder weather, I might need that. They aren't made for Minnesota winter for sure.

I wouldn't say they are thicker to Under Armour since your dealing with different materials. I have used the UA stuff as well and it works. I just like the Kuiu 210 better for comfort and to me warmth during active hunting that I do here in NV. Our weather isn't nearly as bad as yours but I have hunted in -20 here without any issue.

I just like the Kuiu 210 better for comfort and to me warmth during active hunting that I do here in NV. Our weather isn't nearly as bad as yours but I have hunted in -20 here without any issue.

I must be a sissy, I think they are OK when moving but get cold when sitting to long. I'm sure they are rated for more moving conditions. Might have to put more under them, they sure are light and comfy though. Thanks for the info!

Ya I'm not sure what to use when just sitting and glassing, maybe some super down pants? Other options if sitting a lot could be insulated pants. I did use some 100 gram thinsulate Cabelas pants before that seemed to help. Maybe others will chime in with some suggestions.

I wear just plain wool long Johns under mine and I seem to stay plenty warm. In the duck blind I did wear a pair of sweat pants as well under the guide pants and was comfortable

I'm a big glasser too... Embarrassingly I have 4 pair/weights of long Johns to chose from, then wear my guide pants. When I reach my glassing spot out come the puff jacket, puff pants, mittens, scarf and wool beanie. It's a b!+%# to carry everyday but just couldn't sit out in the cold temp for extended periods any other way. I'm really thinking about adding a tarp type shelter to block the wind but just haven't ponied up the $150 bucks yet(the one I want).
