Any idea when some new items will be getting in stock? Looks like the sizes I need are all back ordered in every color. I have a coupon that only applies to instock items and don't want to waste it on one item that is actually in stock in my size... I don't especially want to pay shipping several times as well.

I've recently placed a few orders on Kuiu gear. One specific order I have placed had several items on backorder and have recieved 2 different shipments so far and was only charged the original shipping amount. Waiting on the guide jacket, attack pants, and beanie though.

I bet he's out of stock on most hunting stuff until spring when the coupons are no good.

That's exactly what I'm thinking man! By then the one thing they have in stock will be backordered and I won't even get to use the stupid thing... ugh, punch me in the face...

I got a coupon that expired two weeks ago and I didn't even use it because they didn't have anything in stick that I wanted. Except for the binocular harness but I can wait on that.

CC told me Merinos should be in soon along with Gaiters. Packs first part of March (need to switch out a hip belt for a smaller size for my wife). Have only asked about some things I need so I cant comment on other stuff. Let me put that another way - I only asked about what I really need - There are still a bunch of stuff I want!

I love the KUIU clothing that I have but some things I have not ordered because of the back ordering issues. Order in advance I guess is the best method but what is said about the coupons is true no since in having them is you cannot use them !

Call Dallas at KUIU and ask him if you can apply your coupon to the back ordered items. There was an email sent out yesterday from him about this issue. Sorry I deleted it.

I back ordered a pair of attack pants right after Christmas and got them 2 weeks ago. I was waiting for the size large 145 zip in verde to be available so I could use my 10% off coupon, but finally decided on an XL which was in stock. It, along with a neck gaiter and belt, are supposed to be delivered today according to the usps tracker. When I called CS about the size L zip T, they said a bunch of shipments are expected in the next few weeks. So hopefully what you're looking for will be in stock soon.

On a semi related note, I learned that if you take your wife shopping and buy her a pair of cole haan boots, she is much more receptive to the idea of another Kuiu order. Now I'll just have to figure out what to take her shopping for before I propose an ultra 6000 later this spring.

Good luck!

all imported products are getting tough to get right now. The west coast port situation sucks big time. Professionaly speaking this issue for me(I own a retail store) is as big or bigger than the great recession. The ultra greedy unions have screwed us big time. The longshoreman are only working at 50% capacity and the maritime association isn't giving in and neither is the ports. Exports are rotting on the docks, imports can't come in. I want to go kill some people right now. FFS go back to fricking work.

oh the dock workers are getting 6 digit salaries and they are not making enough money. Containers are taking an extra 4 weeks to get thru the docks. Agriculture exports are really hurting.

They are using the "velvet rope" business model where you intentionally create limited availability to increase demand keeping the hype and prices up.

The LA club scene mastered this business model years ago. Sorry but I am not going to wait on anything. I have some of their stuff and would have more if they had it in stock, but there are other options out there with better availability.

One thing that impacts companies more that people realize is taxes. Probably 99% of the smaller companies out there drive inventory down prior to the end of their fiscal year because they get the s@#t taxed out of them if they don't. I know we are just starting to purchase for the new year and put orders in to manufactures for product we wont see till June or July.
And the majority of the folks out there wont be buying for at least a couple months. I've been on both sides of it....no easy answer.

It is a shame they are not already training new non union workers to take these jobs for a good liveable wage that are actually willing to work. This is a disgrace and the whole country suffers because of the greed of a few. Another reason why union membership continues to decline year after year with the exception of government workers. What was once a group for American workers has turned into something else entirely. What a shame.
As far as Kuiu availability goes, there stuff is great and the price is lower than Sitka but the wait for buying things every time you want something is becoming absurd. I agree there are other companies out there that make great products and you do not have to wait for months and months. It is a shame. I own a pair of pants, jacket, and gaiters but if I need to buy something else I will go with someone else if Kuiu can't keep up with orders. Why are they coming out with new products if they can't even keep up with production of current products?
