My friend had a Kimber 84 in 325 WSM. He topped it with a Zeiss 3 x 9. We handloaded for it and my Browning 325. With his Kimber, you could cover 3 shots with a nickel. My Browning sucked. With 3 shot groups, you have to use a quarter to cover the holes.

I have 2 tikka t3s and 2 sako a7s and all 4 shoot less than 3/4" groups at 100 yards. I love em. And the bolt is wicked smooth. Plus they have drop out mags and are ridiculously light. Not great for heavy recoil. But, my a7 in 300 wsm is probly my favorite rifle to shoot....period. It's the tecomate version with the bell and carlson stock and I love it. Ive seen cabelas has a similar rifle thats not the tecomate version that is looking pretty inviting. My uncle does have a Kimber 30 06 in a beautiful walnut stock and it shoots 1" groups when the planets align...one of the prettiest rifles Ive seen but there are better shooting rifles out there

I've been in love with the kimber mountain ascent ever since I held one. I absolutely love how light they are. Unfortunately I could never pull the trigger on something that expensive with such a hit or miss reputation for accuracy (rifles). In my opinion it is just asinine to have such poor quality control and such low standards and charge that much.

i have an 84 in 270 wsm. horrible accuracy. sent it back to the factory, they test fired it and returned it with the target. I believe the group was 1 3/4" at 50yds. They said that was within their specs. I finally found a load to get inside 2" at 100. Never been so disgusted with a gun or a gun manufacturer. would have been better off with a $400 savage
That's ridiculous. I would be embarrassed if I were them.

Kimber has been having rust issues with their 1911's as of late, though in the past they generally made decent guns. For some reason they either seem to hit homeruns or they strike out.
