Congratulations Rock.
Burning a lot less gas than driving to Colorado, aye?
Nope, burning more by driving to Colorado in September, then up to KY in Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan (or however long it takes). Looks like the season is mid Oct to mid Jan but I can't hunt when a firearms elk season is going.

I can relate. I'll be circumnavigating about half the country in Sep & Oct with a stop in CO as well.

No luck for me either. 6 years in a row! Congrats Rockchucker, sounds like a blast.
Thanks, I'm excited!

Now I have to put in for the area draws. Looks like most public land elk are taken on Boone Forestlands WMA or on ICG hunter access areas. Anyone with any knowledge? I want a cow bad, and I want to do it DIY public land.
