Kenetrek Mountain Extreme 400's
Size 11.5
Great condition

These are great boots, well designed, indestructible, high quality construction, etc. I have nothing negative to say about them, but unfortunately they just don't fit my feet. They're super comfortable for general hiking and awesome for side-hilling, but when I hike straight up steep terrain with a pack I get blisters. I only used them for short trail hikes around the house for training. I wanted to determine if they needed break-in or if they just don't fit my feet. As much as I want them to fit, they just don't fit. I need something more narrow in the heel. My Asolo's don't bother me at all and they are more narrow. The Kenetrek's are too nice (and expensive) of a boot to keep for general hiking.

I gave them a good cleaning and took lots of pictures. Happy to provide more pictures, answer questions or even do Apple Facetime if you want to look at them.

Selling $250 shipped

Half price for a damn good boot and a lot cheaper than buying new when going through the process of learning what boots fit your feet.

I had the same problem and talked to them at the RMEF show in vegas and they told me to call and talk to them in repair and ask about heel cups. I needed them resoled anyway and they installed the heel cups for free. Now my heels don't slip around and cause blisters!! Not the boots fault that God made me with narrow heels. Might want to call them. Good luck and God bless

Thanks for the tip. I might give them a ring. Ironically I called them in the past and they said to send them in and they would "work on them". I assume that was to break them in. They also game me their newer inserts, but didn't mention the options of having heel cups installed. I would love for these boots to work for me.
