If I had it to do over again I wouldn't have got a 270 wsm. It is very difficult to reload for especially in the short magazine box of the Remington I have. It shoots good but there are a lot better options out there especially if you reload.
I have a Browning A-bolt II stainless Stalker in 270wsm and it loves a 130 grain Barnes ttsx 62.5 grains of IMR4350 and federal 210 primers (non-mag). I'm getting 3250 fps out of a 23 inch barrel and .500-.700 inch groups all day.
I think you will like your 270 WSM very much. It is by all appearances a real laser! Hard to go wrong with 130 or 140 gr. Accubonds, E-tips, or Partitions out of it!
Finally got around to shooting this gun. Was on a budget so I decided to go with a vortex crossfire 4-12x44. For the money, I think it's a good scope. Here's the group I got with 60 gr. of imr 4350 and 130 gr Barnes ttsx. I'm pretty happy with the whole outfit!
