Just bought a browning a bolt in 270 wsm for $350 the stock had a lot of scratches but the barrel and muzzle crown loon really good. Plan on buying a bell and Carlson medalist stock. Anyway, I was planning on shooting 140 accubonds through it. Does anyone have any experience with loading 140's for a 270 wsm and what is your experience with this caliber? I have a 300 wsm and love it but never really thought about a 270 until I came across this. Thanks

I love my 270WSM. I use the 130gr accubonds for elk and 130gr ballistic tips for everything else. I feel pretty luck that my rifle shoots both bullets to the same point of impact, so I can use either depending on what shows up. I have had the best results with RL 17.

I was going to start with some imr 4350 but I also have the rl22 and rl17 so I'll try all three and see what gives me the best results. Thank you gentlemen!!

My best load out of a Browning X-bolt 270WSM with 140gn Accubonds is 59.5gn IMR-4350, WLRM primer and RP brass.

I do not own a 270 WSM but this may be my next gun ! A couple of my hunting buddies have one and they love it 130 gr. bullets. And by the way they both have it in the Browning A bolt also !

Next time I go in I'll pull out records and see what my 4350 load is. Been accurate in 3 270WSMs, but they're all XCRs. (140gr Accubonds)

Gonna pick it up Friday. The stock is beat up pretty bad. So I'm gonna refinish it and maybe cerakote the barrel and action. Should be a fun little project. The barrel and muzzle crown looked good so hopefully it shoots straight. I'll post pics of the process and finished product. Thanks to everyone for your input.

Picked up the rifle this morning. Couple big gouges in the stock plus quite a few other scratches. Hard to see in the pic. Since I decided that I'm gonna keep this rifle and use it for a workhorse. I refinished it a little different. Thought it was kinda neat.20150501_154926.jpg

I seen a guy on YouTube doing that with gun stocks so I figured I'd try it. If I get bored with I'll just buy a bell and Carlson and out on it.

I'm wondering how much difference there is between a plain old .270 which I have and a .270 WM.
Since you can never have too many guns.
