Judge Stops Grizzly Hunt!

After delaying the proposed grizzly hunt twice, the federal judge has now decided to return the species to to the endangered species list...thereby ending the possibility of a hunt this year.

Apparently, the judge thinks he knows more about grizzly bears than the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Wyoming Game and Fish Department.

Ironically, the judge's decision came across the wire at the same time I received Eastman's blog about the grizzly crisis.

Can't say that I didn't see this coming. It will still be back and forth for a number of years before the first hunt actually occurs.

Federal judge. If they want the states can take it to a judge higher than he is and get it overturned, but it burns a lot of money to do so.
